A6M2 m.21 - Houkoku no.532 - Aircraft Carrier Kaga, Kisarazu AB, Chiba Prefecture, April 1942, just before "Battle of Midway".
532nd Houkoku "Yamanobe-gou" that is the 532nd aircraft donated by the donation by the individual whose name is Mr. Yamanobe. Houkoku means patriotism, it is generic name of donated naval aircraft from civilians.

G4M1 - Houkoku no.1006  - 705th Kokutai, Rabaul AB, New Britain, January 1943. In January 1943, the squadron participated in Battle of Rennell island" and, in this battle, USS Chicago was sunk by torpedo that they launched.
1006th Houkoku "55th Zen-Nippon-gou", this G4M1 is the 55th aircraft that was purchased by taken up donation from people of all-Japan by the appeal of the newspaper, and as "Houkoku" it is the 1006th aircraft.

D3A1 - Houkoku no.525 - Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku, Operation "R" (Bismarck islands capture), January 1942
525th Houkoku "58th Zen-Nippon-gou", this D3A1 is the 58th aircraft that was purchased by taken up donation from people of all-Japan by the appeal of the newspaper, and as "Houkoku" it is the 525th aircraft.
